The Art, Science and Sport Charitable Foundation was established in 2006 by Russian entrepreneur and philanthropist Alisher Usmanov. The Foundation is one of the leaders among the largest non-profit organizations supporting cultural and social development of Russia.
The Foundation is focused on patronage of socially significant initiatives in the field of culture, education and sports, including at the international level that help strengthening the country’s image.
Among the partners of the Foundation are all key Russian institutions of culture and art with world-known names: the Mariinsky Theater under the direction of Valery Gergiev, the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, Federal State Institution of Culture “State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble Igor Moiseyev”, National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia under the direction of Vladimir Spivakov, Tretyakov Gallery, Theater on Bronnaya, Maly Drama Theater – Theater of Europe, etc.
The Art, Science and Sport Foundation carries out activities in the field of sustainable development of small towns in Russia and the professionalization of the regional non-profit sector. The Foundation is engaged in supporting amateur sports, sports integration of people with disabilities, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle. As an active participant in the development of inclusion and an accessibility, including in the field of culture and art, the Foundation offers people with visual disabilities relevant service solutions for self-realization, development and integration into society, implementing the program “Special Look”.
